TecLogTalks: 5 Questions for Bernhard Wagner, Internal Sales and Data Protection Officer

Hello Bernhard Wagner, what does your daily work with us look like?

Internal Sales Bernhard Wagner As a Sales Representative in Internal Sales and Data Protection Officer at TecLog GmbH, I handle a diverse range of tasks daily. I manage our existing client relationships while also establishing new contacts. Essentially, I am the communicator of our offerings and stay attuned to our clients’ needs. In meetings and team communications, I am the main point of contact regarding our services, and I also oversee e-marketing and social media marketing.

Additionally, my responsibilities as a Data Protection Officer complement these tasks. I draft data protection agreements and serve as the first point of contact for our employees on data privacy matters. Managing data protection and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations are integral parts of my daily work.

Those are already a few of the tasks. Which challenges keep you engaged beyond a normal working day?

I stay continuously informed about developments and trends in both the economy and politics to enable agile responses. This includes staying updated on current events as well as long-term trends at both international and regional levels.

How do you recharge your own batteries to overcome all these challenges? How do you start the day?

For me, a successful start to the day begins with a good cup of coffee and a positive mindset. I carefully review my daily plan and approach each task with a proactive attitude. I also owe my optimistic drive to my wife, who has supported me in nearly everything for almost 10 years. The professional successes I achieve, from which I draw further energy, are thanks to her as well.

What is the biggest challenge you have overcome? What strategies did you use to get there?

Since the company’s founding, I have been involved in the sales at TecLog GmbH from the very beginning. Together, we have achieved several million in sales revenue. I am continually pleased to count many renowned companies among our clients and to maintain regular contact with their exciting fields of work. Building this has not only helped me gain confidence but also sharpened my focus on goals. In an era of rapidly evolving communication technologies, my affinity for computers, the internet, and telecommunications has also been essential for maintaining these connections.

Finally, do you have a personal tip for us to stay motivated?

Clearly defined goals are essential: Remember why you chose this particular profession and not another, and set goals for your continued development. This helps maintain self-motivation. Passion and curiosity for your own areas of interest keep this motivation alive. It’s also important to take breaks to reflect on your progress—celebrating small successes along the way is an integral part of the journey.
