TecLogTalks: 5 Fragen an Hazar Kelamİ, Bauleiter Elektronik

Hello Hazar Kelamİ, what does your daily work with us look like?

Hazar KelamiAs a qualified electrical engineer and site manager, I ensure that the electrical installations in buildings are carried out in accordance with plans, standards and regulations. I deal with legal and technical specifications on the one hand and their practical implementation on the other. My day-to-day work consists of reconciling theory and practice directly during implementation. In this mediating position, I consider myself very fortunate to be able to work with a friendly and helpful team.

Those are already a few of the tasks. What do you do in your job over and above a normal working day?

The rapid development of technical innovations also leads to constantly changing specifications and regulations in electrotechnical planning. This means that I stay up to date beyond my day-to-day work. I follow innovations and trends in the field of electrical engineering with constant enthusiasm.

How do you recharge your own batteries to overcome all these challenges? How do you start the day?

My energy comes from my love for my profession itself. Learning new things and improving myself every day keeps this motivation going. Creativity is also part of this, to keep coming up with new ideas. I have been playing the guitar for 25 years to balance out my daily work and to encourage this creativity. Jamming with friends gives me a clear head, but also helps me to stay agile when a new beat is played.

What’s the biggest challenge you’ve overcome? What strategies did you use to get there?

As an electrical engineer, I’ve already been involved in some big international construction projects all over the world. These include Hilton and Marriott hotels as well as Mercedes and Ford factories. Seeing each of these buildings finished makes me really happy, not just because I’ve been involved in them, but also because of my job.

Finally, do you have a personal tip for us to stay motivated?

Engineering is a science, but good engineering is an art. Art always inspires and motivates me.
